Vegetable pH preferences


Different vegetable types prefer a particular soil pH if they are to grow well, though many will grow at a lower or higher pH.

With some crops pH is critical if they are to succeed, and with others the correct pH helps them to avoid certain diseases.

pH 5.0 - 6.0
pH 5.5 - 7.0
pH 6.5 - 7.0
